Custom Secure Storage Solution: Multifunctional Safety Room for Canadian Client

In February 2023, we received a special design request from Ray, a client based in Canada, to transform a storage room into a multifunctional space that could serve both as everyday storage and a secure safety room during emergencies such as hurricanes, social unrest, or break-ins. After multiple detailed discussions with the client, we formulated a tailored solution that addressed both security requirements and logistical challenges.

Client Needs and Design Objectives

The client required a space that could function as conventional storage under normal circumstances while providing advanced protection during emergencies. Key requirements included bulletproof and anti-theft features, along with an internal authorization mechanism to prevent unauthorized access. Additionally, due to the client’s location in Canada, we needed to account for international shipping and local installation constraints.

Design Approach

Based on the client’s needs, we developed the following solutions:

1. Security System: Reinforced bulletproof walls and a vault door with a back-control mechanism were designed to ensure resistance to break-in attempts. The vault door can only be opened with authorization from inside; even with a password, external access is prohibited.

2. Logistics and Installation Strategy: To reduce international shipping costs, the main structure of the room was built by a local Canadian team following our design specifications. The vault door was designed, manufactured, and tested in China before being shipped to the Port of Vancouver via sea freight. The client’s construction team carried out the installation using detailed guidelines provided by us, with additional remote support including graphics, documentation, and live video guidance.

Implementation and Collaboration

Throughout the project, we maintained close communication with the client and the local team:

• The vault door was produced and pre-assembled domestically, with full logistics tracking until delivery;

• The local construction team followed our blueprints to build the room and install the door according to provided standards;

• We offered real-time remote assistance to troubleshoot installation issues and ensure compliance with safety norms.

Upon completion, the client shared photos of the construction team and a video of the installed room, expressing strong appreciation for our expertise and problem-solving approach:
